China's proposal for an international standard for superabsorbent resin was formally established in ISO

On September 25, 2014, "Porous crosslinked polyacrylic acid sodium salt superabsorbent resin for blood absorption part 1: Test method" and "Porous crosslinked polyacrylic acid sodium salt superabsorbency for blood absorption" proposed by China Resin Part 2: General Requirements "and other two international standard proposals were approved at the 63rd annual meeting of the International Organization for Standardization / Plastic Technical Committee (ISO / TC61), and a working group on superabsorbent resin (ISO / TC61 / SC11 / WG12), the convener is Dr. Sun Hui of Beijing Technology and Business University.

  The polymer absorbent resin for sanitary products has the characteristics of high liquid absorption, strong liquid retention, non-toxicity and no oozing under deformation, etc. It is widely used in sanitary napkins (including sanitary pads), sanitary cotton and other physiological and sanitary products. And medical cotton, bandages, various pads and other medical supplies used in obstetrics and gynecology. The proposal of the international standard for superabsorbent resin submitted by China is based on the independent technology of Shandong Haoyue Resin Co., Ltd. Actively promoting the development of these two international standards is conducive to reducing the manufacturing cost of sanitary products and to a certain extent. Pollution, protecting the natural environment, and providing standardized and consistent performance requirements and testing methods for enterprises and various organizations in the evaluation of blood absorbing resin performance and testing methods.
